Group Study With Friends, Sure!
Yes, today I will finally sit down to study. We will freshen up, have our meal, will head over to, the study table, and finally get all my work done. Well, that is what we thought. Ten minutes later all we could think of was (I was running far away), that is what we do with our studies.
Smartphones are no less than, if not equal addiction. But this has been bothering us for too long now, and it is time we get rid of this for good. Involving parents does not seem like a good idea, well you know why. Let’s just leave this conversation here.
So if not parents then who? That is right, how about we give this group study thing a try? But before that here are a few things we need to be clear about, before getting into group study. Understanding the same as a process would be better.
What is a group study?
The term coins the meaning itself. If 2 or more students are trying to work or study together, that is known as a group study. But is that simple to execute? The answer is no. First of all, finding friends with the right mindset is as it is tough and then studying with them is another task.
And you know better until now, that when you and your friends get together, everything else except studies happens. Even your parents would not be too excited about the thought of studying together for their reasons.
But if there are so many loopholes in the process of group study, then why do so many people recommend it to you? Well, it is just like 2 sides to everything. One is good and the other is bad. For the bad you get all the details, but as far as the good is concerned all you get is advice.
Work in your favor!
Here we would give you a few guidelines to go by when planning to implement a group study. The most important thing here would be is to find the students with the right mindset. You know your friends the best and are very well aware of who will study and who will not.
So invite only those selective few into your group. Next, should be to have a plan. You cannot just open your books and go on rambling pages endlessly. You have subjects, chapters, and topics to choose from, so be smart with your planning.
Set achievable goals that involve healthy competition. Challenge each other to your best. Set targets and deadlines to be on track. If you get stuck somewhere or the other help each other out. Be strict with each other.
You do not want to repeat the scenario of what happened in the first instance. If that happens you eventually beat the whole idea of this group study thing. Also, studying together can help you adapt tricks or methods from each other for efficient learning.
