What’s so buzzing around the term “Anxiety”.

According to Wikipedia (the most trustable source on the internet LMAO),

“Anxiety is an emotion characterized by an unpleasant state of inner turmoil and includes subjectively unpleasant feelings of dread over anticipated events. It is often accompanied by nervous behavior such as pacing back and forth, somatic complaints, and rumination.

We know that you even skipped it here, who reads Wikipedia?

Well coming back to the topic, although this was all to make you worry a little less about your problem and to distract you from that constant loop that is just running around your head, day in day out. Your exams are near or maybe you have something big coming up towards you, so ideally what should you do? Study right? But NO! We get ourselves more on the problem rather than the solution itself. See It’s pretty simple but it’s just us who make it hard. And tbh It’s okay! It is a basic human tendency to procrastinate and then struggle. And here lies the problem, then you suffer. Suffer, you might give another name ANXIETY.

“Anxiety is love’s greatest killer. It makes others feel as you might when a drowning man holds on to you. You want to save him, but you know he will strangle you with his panic.”

Anais Nin

So Now the question arises, How to Deal with this Anxiety?

See, there are a set of things that you can perform for long term or short term benefits or both.

Short Term

If you just can’t control it right now, You’re in an emergency, you can’t figure out what to do, So you can do

  • Count backwards from 20 : Silly but helps, repeat if you’re not satisfied.
  • Take Deep Breaths : Half of the problem is solved once you start this.
  • Humor/Memes : You just can’t focus on anything, you can surely watch a few memes and laugh or maybe you can find comedy videos on youtube for the time being.
  • Talk to someone : A friend in need is a friend in deed. Go out and talk to someone on any random topic, far away from what you’re going through.

Long Term

These things will not just help you in this but also will maintain a good balance. You might not feel the difference at the first time, but surely it will take you a long.

  • Sleep : Yes, research shows that people who sleep less worry more. As you’re stressed, your body needs more attention.
  • Exercise Daily : Trust me, it is a one stop solution that keeps you going and keeps you active and updated. There’ll be less chances that you’ll fall under anxiety attack.
  • Be Optimistic : See, asking you to be very optimistic on the occasion when you’re under anxiety is just very toxic. But you can develop an optimistic behavior in the long run.

Well, these are the certain stunts that you can perform if you’re the one who goes through anxiety attacks quite frequently, else if you’re just facing it for once in a while so it’s fine, as it is a normal human tendency.

Don’t worry everything falls back to place, the only thing required is time. You need to give time to your problems and accept the fact that you suck. And now that you’ll finally figure it out, you can excel or even know where you were lacking.
