Don’t let your friend win every time, just because he got a coin, just like this famous Bollywood movie ‘Sholay”.

So finally you’re able to make it to the second last chapter of your class 12th math syllabus. Horrayy! But this shit is a little confusing, yes right, probability. Or simply, idk. That’s what the chapter says, idk. The chapter is the centralist player, just playing around with us. ENOUGH! JUST ENOUGH!

You Probability! “I’m Done with you, It’s not you, it’s me”
Cause I’m the one who’s being played around.

Chapter revolves around a few topics like,

  • Conditional Probability
  • Multiplication rule
  • Random Variables
  • Bayes Theorem, etc.
  • Random Variables and its Probability Distributions
  • Bernoulli Trials and Binomial Distribution

Probability is defined as the extent to which an event is likely to occur.

It is measured as a number of favorable events to occur from the total number of events is always 0 ≤ Pe ≤ 1.

Well enough of this, let’s come down to the down point. The chapter is a bit confusing and tricky. And just after doing so much into calculus, you must not be thinking this way for sure, cause probability requires a bit of thinking the round way. So here’s the reason why we’re here! Bit of tips and tricks will make your way into it.

#TIPS

#1 Don’t Mess up

The one and only thing with probability is that you read it after Calculus, so much of theory and then different sets of questions. See you need to have a different approach for this chapter, as it deals with calculations and deep thinking skills.

#2 Cover the basics

Yes, Cover the basics, as there can be n number of questions from this chapter and all requires a good concept. And even is something irrelevant occurs, that you have never came across, you’ll be able to solve that by hook or crook.

#3 PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE

Probability, yes, you don’t know which thing can come in your favor. As, this question might come or that, you never know. So just to ensure, practice, as much as you can.

Where to study from?

Either Boards, mains or Advance, probability’s concepts are just the same, so doing the theory from anywhere won’t matter much till it is correct and understandable.

#Books

  • NCERT (for basics)
  • Any good coaching material (Reso/FIITJEE)
  • RD Sharma (lot of questions)
  • RS Aggarwal (many examples)
  • Arihant Mathematics

#Video Lectures

  • Apni Kaksha, YouTube (free) (animated lectures)
  • Unacademy JEE, YouTube (free)
  • GB sir, Etoos (paid) (amazing concepts)
  • Neha Aggarwal, Mathematically inclined (free)

Well, that would be enough for you to survive all the questions bumping on your head. And if something goes wrong, just jump back to the concept and go ahead.

Or Maybe, if it is just a question where are you’re stuck at, just go and log on to DoubtConnect.
